EMS Week, Improving outcomes together

A week set aside to honor and appreciate all the 1st responders of the Aberdeen Police Det, Aberdeen Fire and Rescue, Emergency Management Services, Rural Fire Fighters, EMT’s and all those that face medical emergencies of many kinds. Fire and Rescue alone responded to 3,073 calls, and transported 1,819 in 2025.  Scott Meints Director of the Brown County EMS talks about how thankful he is for all those he works with that have answered the calling.

Meints broke down the duties and services into 4 pillars.
