The public visitation for Kevin K. Rossow, 69, of Stratford, SD, will be 1:00-2:00pm, Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, 1111 South Main Street, Aberdeen, SD. A private family burial at East Rondell Cemetery, Stratford, SD, with Pastor Bret Bierman officiating to follow. Kevin died Tuesday, May 11, 2026, in Stratford, SD.
A public celebration of life will be held at the Stratford Community Center after the public visitation, provided by the friends of Kevin Rossow.
Kevin Keith Rossow was born July 2, 1956, in Aberdeen, SD, to Richard & Donna (Radke) Rossow. He grew up on a farm near Stratford, SD. He started school in Stratford and graduated from Warner High School in 1974. He was in the Army for three years in Fort Hood, TX, then moved back to Stratford and farmed with his father and brother and has been farming ever since. His daughter Stefanie was born October 7, 1977, followed by son Michael on December 15, 1981.
Kevin was a loving father and a devoted grandfather. There is nothing Kevin loved more than his 3 grandkids. He was very good with his hands, could fix just about anything, and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. Kevin liked watching the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings. He enjoyed being outdoors – farming, golfing, hunting, and fishing. In his younger years, he played softball and bowled. Above all else, he loved his 3 grandkids immensely and you didn’t have to spend much time with Kevin before he would proudly tell you all about them.
Grateful for having shared Kevin’s life are his children: Stefanie (Paul) Weiss and Michael (Jeannie) Rossow; grandchildren: Kevin Weiss, Sarah Rossow, and Matthew Rossow; wife Kathy Rossow; brother Steve Rossow; sister Sandy (Bill) Sutton; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Preceding Kevin in death are his parents Richard & Donna Rossow and his grandparents.
