ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Connections Series continued Thursday at the K.O.Lee Public Library.
Feature speaker was attorney Julie Johnson. The theme is the upcoming 2026 elections.
Johnson went over the timeline between now and the June primary. Absentee voting is now underway through June 1st. She went over the deadline for Independent candidates to submit their petition signature.
Johnson talks about the deadline for ballot measures to be turned in to appear on the November ballot.
Johnson reminds everyone the important date of May 18th.
Johnson discuss a law in place that employers must follow for election day.
Johnson talks about the Voter Information Portal that can be found at the Secretary of State’s website.

Johnson discuss the possible referral of SB245 and the deadline they have to turn those petitions in.
