ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council at their meeting Monday night received a report from the Aberdeen Downtown Association looking back at 2023.
Executive Director Alexa Sheldon wanted to thank the council for their continued support.
Sheldon, who has been the Executive Director, for over a year now talked about the role of the Downtown Association.
Looking back on 2023, Sheldon talks about the success about the core events that happened downtown.
Attendance for the Parade of Lights outnumbered the Gypsy Day Parade held earlier that year.
Sheldon talks about some of the other events taking place throughout 2023.
Sheldon talks about the role social media played in promoting events in the community.
Sheldon also discuss ways they are trying to continue to beautify the downtown area.
Sheldon looks ahead to 2024.
