Romana Adajar, 91

Romana Vergara Adajar was born on August 9, 1932, in Batangas, Phillippines. She lived most of her life there until 1972 when her family immigrated to Bowdle, SD. Romana spent her life caring for her family and working alongside with her husband in his medical practice, but her main goal was being a loving mother and devoted wife for 50 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sewing.

Romana passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital, in Aberdeen, SD. Services will be held at 9:00am, Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Risen Savior Catholic Church, Brandon, SD.

Those left to cherish her memories are her five children: Lizabeth (Carney) Haberer, Aberdeen, SD, Alex Jr. Adajar, Anchorage, AK, Aurora (Harvey) Addengast, Valley Springs, SD, Romano (Cynthia) Adajar, Sioux City, IA, and Fernando (Jovie) Adajar, Aurora, CO. Romana is adored by her grandchildren: Chrystal, Phillip, Alex, Richard, Leslie, Jenny, Pierce, Quinn, Reed and Keera. She is also loved by her many great grandchildren.
