Wayne, NE (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University baseball dropped game one against Wayne State losing, 14-1 and winning game two, 5-2. An explosive sixth inning by the Wildcats in game one kept the win out of reach for the Wolves. In game two, NSU capitalized off of key situational hitting to take the game.

  • Wayne State score was the first to score in first inning with two runs; the Wildcats extended their lead with two runs in the second

  • Northern State chipped away from the deficit as Jack Weidner singled to left field to scored Brennan Phillips in the sixth
  • Wayne State responded back with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning
  • The Wolves tallied one run off of six hits with one error
  • Max Otto recorded the loss in 5.0 innings pitched with four strikeouts against 28 batters

Wayne, NE (NSUWolves.com) – Due to weather conditions the series finale between Northern State University and Wayne State has been canceled. Since the game did not reach the fifth inning, all stats from the game will not count towards the season.  The Wolves split the series against the Wildcats, 1-1.
