Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil announce work session next Tuesday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At the end of Monday night’s Aberdeen City Council meeting, Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil announced there will be a work session prior to the next meeting on Tuesday, May 26th.  Remember Monday is Memorial Day so city offices will be closed for the holiday.

McNeil has a series of items he’s looking to address in the session.  First off he wants to hear from the South Dakota Department of Transportation about the construction of the 6th Avenue bridge which is scheduled to begin in 2027.

McNeil is also looking to address issues discussed during this year’s South Dakota Legislative session.  First item is dealing with the CAPS program.

Another item to address is legislation that dealt with TIFs.

The third item McNeil wants to address is the future of data centers in the city.

The session will begin at 4pm and is open to the general public.
