GROTON, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – On a chilly, rainy & breezy day in Groton, the Aberdeen Roncalli girls battled the elements & defeated the field, en route to a rain-shortened NEC Meet win.

 

Aberdeen Roncalli would win by 24 strokes over the host squad & by 29 strokes over Sisseton; Milbank would round out the top four & Redfield did not finish. After nine holes, it was decided to call the rest of the event due to the dicey conditions.

 

Individually, four of the top five finishers were Cavaliers from Aberdeen Roncalli. Grace Seyer was the medalist for the Cavaliers, carding a (+5, 41) for the day and Sisseton’s Kenzley Heath was two strokes off the lead at (+7, 43). The rest of the top five were all Cavaliers, Claire Crawford in third, Mackenzie Wegehaupt in fourth & Morgan Helms rounded out the top five.
