Representative Nick Fosness reflect on this year’s legislative session

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The main run of the 101st South Dakota Legislative session is over.  District 1 Representative Nick Fosness took the time to reflect on the session.

Fosness who was appointed to the seat by Governor Larry Rhoden gave his overview of the session.

Fosness chose not to prime any bills this session.  He explains what he thought was his role for the session.

Fosness addressed the two bills dealing with property tax relief.  SB96 was the bill he was in favor while opposing SB245.

Fosness goes over the funding coming to South Dakota courtesy of the One Big Beautiful Bill passed by the U.S. Congress in 2025.

Fosness also addressed the issue of economic development when it comes to data centers.

Veto Day is on Monday, March 30th.
