Burnsville, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2025 all-conference football teams today with nine total Northern State University Wolves honored. Among the nine are five first team honorees, the most for NSU since the 2016 season. In addition, the nine total selections are the most for the Wolves under the direction of head coach Mike Schmidt.
The first team selections in 2025 include Jake Adams, Wyatt Block, Gabe Gutierrez, Daniel Porisch, and Max Van Landingham. Elijah Jopp, Cooper Logan, Matt Ouellette, and Javonnee Szymanski were named to the second team.
Adams led Northern State with 93 tackles in just seven games. The junior averaged 13.3 tackles per game which led the Northern Sun and ranked second in the country through the regular season. He tallied a single game career-high of 21 tackles against the University of Sioux Falls and recorded double figure tackles in four contests. Adams broke the Northern State Division II era school record for career tackles against Concordia-St. Paul with his 256th and finished the year with 303.
