ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern finished the relay portion of their first meet with 80 points courtesy of a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

  • In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Mazie FinchMaya HentgesLaila Gordillo and Emma Moore took third with a time of 3:49.51, behind UMary and SMSU
  • Lorelai GrundSydney Rogers and Finch took fourth in the 3×100-yard backstroke relay with a time of 3:12.31
  • Emma BeaversMarie Loest and Riley Vraniak competed in the 3×100-yard breaststroke, clocking in with a time of 3:46.64 for fourth in the event
  • Emma MachadoIlyanna Haigler and Vraniak earned fifth in the 800-yard freestyle relay, recording a 9:19.41 finish
  • At 4:28.64, Sydney RogersElla WanschuraSidney Masgras and Vraniak took fifth in the 400-yard medley relay
  • Finch, Hentges, Rogers and Machado swam for fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:45.81
  • Beavers, Masgras, Loest and Wanschura took fifth in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:31.19

ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State lost two duals Saturday against UMary and Concordia-St. Paul. The Wolves scored 45 points each in both matchups. NSU’s Jacie Flockhart was NSU’s only top-three performer, taking first in the 1-meter dive.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Flockhart scored a 191.70 in the 1-meter dive to snag Northern State’s only first-place finish of the entire meet
The NSU 300-yard medley relay team, made up of Emma BeaversMazie FinchSidney Masgras and Sydney Rogers, had the fourth-best finish with a time of 1:58.98
Emma Moore clocked a 2:07.13 finish in the 200-yard freestyle for fourth, narrowly beating Becca Smith of UMary (2:07.88)
Finch also competed in the 50-yard freestyle, earning fourth with a time of 26.26 seconds
In the 200-yard IM, Ella Wanschura took fifth at 2:24.39
With a time of 1:05.38, Rogers tallied a fifth-place finish for the Wolves in the 100-yard backstroke
Maya Hentges, Rogers, Masgras and Moore took fifth with a time of 3:58.57 in the 400-yard freestyle relay

Northern State will hit the road for Bismarck, N.D., for the UMary Invite on Friday and Saturday.
