ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The northeast region of South Dakota was hit with severe storms Thursday night. The main source of the severe was hail being reported across the region.
1.5 inch(Golf ball size) hail reported 5 miles northeast of Cresbard at 9:13pm.
.75 inch(Dime size) hail reported in Castlewood at 11:44pm.
1 inch(Pea size) hail reported 8 miles northeast of Norbeck at 8:54pm.
1 inch hail reported in Clark at 11:13pm.
1.25 inch(Half dollar) hail reported in Redfield at 10:32pm.
2 inch(Hen egg or lime) hail reported in Faulkton at 9:34pm.
2 inch hail reported 6 miles north of Onaka at 8:32pm.
1 inch hail reported 5 miles north of Roscoe at 7:43pm.
1.25 inch hail reported 5 miles southwest of Loyalton at 8:16pm.
1.5 inch hail reported 9 miles southeast of Bowdle at 8:14pm.
Hamlin County locations reported wind gust excess of 50mph. One report of tree limb down near Estelline.
Forecast for the weekend has Heat Advisory in effect for both today and Saturday from 1-9pm with heat index expecting to exceed 100 degrees.
There is a 30% of thunderstorms(some could be severe) from 7-10pm this evening.
