ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – As the Central Region Tournament gets underway this weekend, the Northern State University Wolves Men’s basketball team has their first player in the transfer portal: Aberdeen native, Ethan Russell. He wrote on his “X” account on Wednesday, “I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility remaining.” Russell averaged about 17 minutes per game and averaged 5.0ppg & made seven starts. The Wolves finished the season 2-26 and 1-21 in the NSIC & they’re currently in the midst of a head coaching search for the (next) 23rd head coach in program history. At the time of this article being published, there are already 349 players in the DII transfer portal, with the DII regional playoffs officially starting on Friday.
