Jewett Named National Player Of The Week

ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Michaela Jewett has been named the WBCA/D2CIDA National Player of the Week following her performances against No. 6 Minnesota State and Winona State.

Jewett led the Wolves to a pair of wins last week, averaging 26.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. The graduate student forward from Brookings, S.D., scored a season-high 28 points in a 93-82 win over #6 Minnesota State, adding 10 rebounds. She then scored 25 with 12 boards against Winona State, her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season. Jewett shot 59% from the field and 43% from three-point range, hitting all seven of her free throw attempts and adding 4.5 assists per game. Jewett is currently second in the NSIC in rebounding and ninth in field goal percentage.
