ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- South Dakota Farmers Union President Doug Sombke and National Farmers Union Vice President Jeff Kippley reacted to leadership both looking ahead to 2025 and reflecting back to 2024.
Last month, Republicans in the U.S. Senate elected Senator John Thune to be the new Majority Leader for 2025.
President Sombke expressed satisfaction on the decision.
Vice President Kippley agreed with those thought on the national scene.
Tom Vilsack has been the Secretary of Agriculture during the Biden Administration. He’s likely will be replaced once President-elect Donald Trump take office in January. Both of them assessed his performance over the past four years starting with Vice President Kippley.
President Doug Sombke:
Trump has selected Brooke Rollin to be the next Secretary of Agriculture.
