ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- District 1 House Representative-Elect Christopher Reder text out that he will be planning to resign from his seat in District 1.
Reder’s text reads as follows:
“Many will not understand, but this last year I have had the best year and worst year of my life. Due to circumstances, others fears and things beyond my control, it has unfortunately been changed forever. So due to health and several other reasons, today I will be resigning my seat in the SD HOR. I wish you all the best, God bless.”
Now according to South Dakota Law:
Article III, Section 10 of the South Dakota Constitution says:
Filling legislative vacancies. The Governor shall make appointments to fill such vacancies as may occur in either house of the Legislature.
