Joseph (Joe) Cameron, age 80, of Pierpont, passed away peacefully at his home on June 23, 2024.
Joe was a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished stepfather, and proud grandfather. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Webster, SD and was known for his love of family and farming.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Kaye Cameron, his children, Paula Krueger (Brad Krueger), Laura Kaiser (Tom Kaiser); Brodrick Stolsmark (Heather Stolsmark); Brett Cameron (Denise Cameron) and his grandchildren, Spencer, Lydia, Olivia, Hollis, Ivy, and Willa. He also leaves behind his sister Nancy Cutshaw (Gerald Cutshaw) of Pierre, SD and several nieces and nephews.
Joe farmed in Pierpont for over 50 years. He loved farming almost as much as spending time with his family. His family and friends will always remember him for his love of basketball. You could find him watching the UNC Tarheels and the NSU Wolves WBB team. Joe was a proud member of the Charles N. Young Unit #99 (American Legion).
A memorial service will be held on June 29, 2024 at 2:00pm at Falnes Lutheran Church. Memorials will be donated to Wounded Warriors and Honor Flight Network.
Joes’s presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but his legacy will remain in our hearts forever.
