Representative Brandei Schaefbauer reflect on 2026 session

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Representative Brandei Schaefbauer took the time to reflect on what happened during the 2026 legislative session.

Schaefbauer talks about the voting happening within the Republican party on bills inside the House chamber.

Schaefbauer express concerns about leadership within the South Dakota House of Representatives.

Schaefbauer spoke against SB245 dealing with property tax relief.  She talks about cutting spending on all level which could lead to that.

Schaefbauer also addressed the additional funding needed for the Richmond Dam project.  One legislator spoke on the floor(Representative Drew Peterson) about the role Brown County and the City of Aberdeen may need to play in order to get the funding needed for the project.

Schaefbauer announced last week she will not seek re-election for the District 3 seat.  She talks about why she’s not coming back.
