Virginia Beach, VA (NSUWolves.com) [Day 2] – The Northern State University track and field team headed east for day one of the NCAA DII Indoor Championships Friday. Jayden Munroe and Renea Taylor were in action on Friday for the Wolves, competing in the men’s long jump and women’s 60m respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Renea Taylor took action first at the NCAA Indoor Championships
- Running in heat three, Taylor finished fifth in her heat and 13th overall with her time of 7.51, just missing out on claiming Second Team All-American honors
- Jayden Munroe was up next for NSU, competing in flight one of the men’s long jump finals
- Munroe jumped a 7.13m on his third attempt in the long jump, earning him 11th place
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Jayden Munroe’s 7.13m mark in the men’s long jump secured him a second team All-American accolade; this is his second career All-American awar

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bekah Walz represented the Wolves in the women’s pole vault as she was the only individual in action for NSU today
- She came in 15th place, clearing the bar at 3.77m on her first attempt
