SIOUX FALLS, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Wolves baseball ran away with the win against the Beavers Monday, March 9. After going down two runs in the first, NSU scored in every inning after to secure the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- A Beaver two-run homer by Noah Drusch got BSU on the board first in the bottom of the second
- Northern State scored in every following inning to take the lead and not look back
- Jack Weidner reached second on a fielding error, getting him in scoring position as Jordan Hull batted him home to get Northern’s first run of the game
- Four runs were scored by the Wolves in the third
- A Drew Benson triple brought in Collin Lott and Casey Vining
- Dillon Castellanos drove Benson home with a single
- A Hull double batted in Castellanos
- NSU added four more runs in the fourth
- With bases loaded, Andrew Niaves and Dalton Kesti touched home off of Lott and Benson at bats
- Weidner and Vining scored again on a two-out Castellanos double
- Dylan Soulek, Kesti, and Vining touched home in the fifth, pushing the Wolves further ahead
- Bemidji pushed back with six runs in the fifth inning, cutting the lead to 12-8 NSU
- The sixth inning saw traded runs, one from Northern’s Castellanos (home run) and one from Bemidji’s Jack Feldman
- The Wolves scored seven in the seventh to buy insurance, as the Beavers’ four more runs weren’t enough to get back into the game
