

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The third and final Legislative Coffee was held Saturday at NSU. All three members of District 3 which represent Aberdeen were in attendance.
Senator Carl Perry:
Senator Perry talks about HB1082 which deals with reduced lunches for students.
That bill might be discussed on the Senate floor on Monday.
Perry discussed the positives of bills addressing property tax relief(SB96 & SB245).
Perry also address SB37 which deals with water investments.
Representative Al Novstrup:
Representative Novstrup talks about HB1262 that will allow funding for a therapeutic services facility in Brown County.
Novstrup also update on the status of the Richmond Dam and spillway project that was well over the engineer’s estimate for it.
One topic that attracted a lot of conversation was HB1182 which define gender. Novstrup weighed in on that.
Representative Brandei Schaefbauer:
Representative Schaefbauer of a bill inspired by a girl who resides near the Watertown area about raising pheasant eggs.(HB1265)
Schaefbauer also weighed in on HB1182.
Schaefbauer also discuss SB190 which dealt with the rights of the parents. That bill lost on the House floor.
All three do plan on seeking re-election for their respective seats.
