WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- On Thursday, President Trump on his Truth Social announced that the Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem has been removed and will be reassign to be the Special Envoy for the Shield of Americas. That is the new security initiative that President Trump will be announcing on Saturday in Florida.
Noem wrote on her X(formerly twitter) the following:
“Thank you President Trump for appointing me as the Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth are incredible leaders and I look forward to working with them closely to dismantle cartels that have poured drugs into our nation and killed our children and grandchildren. The Western Hemisphere is absolutely critical for U.S. security. In this new role, I will be able to build on the partnerships and national security expertise, I forged over the last 13 months as Secretary of Homeland Security.”
President Trump has announced he nominated U.S. Senator Marywayne Mullen(OK) to be the next Secretary of Homeland Security.
