ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Saturday, offiicially 5.4 inches of snow fell in the city of Aberdeen. That prompted a snow removal alert to be posted. The city did emergency snow routes both Saturday and Sunday. Afterward they started plowing the Aberdeen streets beginning Sunday morning.
Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil praised the effort done over the weekend.
Aberdeen Public Works Director Stu Nelson compared this snow removal to the one that occurred back on February 18th.
Aberdeen Police Chief Tanner Jondahl remind the public about the alerts the city releases.
No official numbers released about how many residents got ticketed and towed on Sunday.
