ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen City Council held their meeting on Monday night.
The council did second readings on a series of ordinances from last Tuesday’s meeting. One dealt with waste water.
Aberdeen Finance Director Jordan McQuillen:
Mayor Travis Schaunaman talks about the rate increase that will be needed to help pay for the loan.
Those ordinances were approved along with ordinances dealing with artificial turf and ambulance services.
The council also addressed an ordinance dealing with improvements for the Dakota Estates Subdivision.
Public Works Director Stu Nelson talks more about this.
The council approved the first reading. Second reading is scheduled for next Monday.
The council also heard a report on possible evaluations for any maintenance on three structures in Aberdeen.
Aberdeen Community Development Manager Amber Schwab:
Schwab talks more about the Brownsfields Grant and this is something the city has used in the past for the K.O.Lee Public Library.
Schwab discuss that each building will be investigated separately but will deliver just one report.
The City Council approved the request for the City Manager to get the process started.
