Brookings, SD (NSUWolves.com) [Day 1]– The Northern State University track and field team took on day one of the SDSU Classic Friday. The Wolves hit seven personal bests on the day (three men and four women).
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Sam Tremelling vaulted unattached, taking first with a 5.00m mark
- Northern had two individuals, Eli Radtke and Rudi May, tie for second place in the pole vault with a 4.85m clearance; May hit a personal best and a earned a provisional mark
- In the 200m, Ty Kadlec set a time of 22.34, earning eighth place in the event
- Two Wolves got personal records in the men’s 3000m; Blake Stoks with a time of 9:38.72 and Zach Palmer with a time of 10:07.77
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Romane Maugest cleared 3.90m in the women’s pole vault, earning her a personal best and a #15 Division II rank; she finished tied for second with and behind Division I competitors
- Also in the pole vault, Bekah Walz’s 3.60m mark was enough to get her sixth place
- The 3000m saw three Wolves notch a pr; Jolie Dugan with a time of 10:35.45, Abby Hasart’s time of 10:42.37, and Madeline Nye crossing the finish line at 12:03.93

Brookings, SD (NSUWolves.com) [Day 2] – The Northern State University track and field team wrapped up action at the SDSU Classic Saturday. An event victory and 13 personal records were tallied on day two.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- Taking the gold in the long jump was Jayden Munroe with a distance of 7.07m
- The men’s high jump saw Jeffery Boschee finish second with a height of 2.10m; this mark ranks Boschee in the top-16 in the country
- Chris Weber placed third and hit a provisional mark in the 60m with his time of 6.80
- Coming in sixth and setting an indoor personal best in the 400m was Drew Salfrank with a time of 48.37, almost setting a school record
- Also placing top-10 in the high jump were Martins Ogedenbe-Dobies in sixth (2.00m) and Dylan Hoot in ninth (1.95m)
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Seven men added personal records on the day
- Turner Thorson and Gracen Hansen in the 600m, crossing the finish line at 1:23.21 and 1:23.57, respectively
- A time of 2:38.38 in the 1000m earned Easton Klatt a personal best, as did 2:41.69 for Zach Terrio
- Munroe ran a 22.32 200m to secure a new personal record
- Boschee’s high jump mark of 2.10m also got him a new pr
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- Renea Taylor took multiple top spots with a second place 60m hurdles time of 8.67 and a fourth place 60m time of 7.50; she earned provisional marks in both events
- The high jump saw Tayla Dobrenski take sixth place, clearing 1.58m
- Coming in eighth in the weight throw, with a distance of 15.91m was Brooke Mushatt
- Grace Kuch took eighth in the shot put at 12.99m
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Six women hit personal records on the day
- Abby Hasart with times of 5:23.72 in the 1 mile
- In the 60m hurdles a 9.53 time from Addison Cumbow and an 8.67 time from Taylor
- Kali Norton in the 400m crossing the line at 59.14, Kuch at 14.61m in the women’s weight throw, and Chloe Peterson in the shot put throwing 11.49m
