ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday night the Aberdeen School Board received a report on district counselors from Simmons Middle School counselor Angel Samson & C.C. Lee counselor Anita Neilson.
Neilson took the time to thanks all involved for what they do.
Samson talks about the students of the month program that they do with the Aberdeen Exchange Club for middle and high school students.
Elementary School:
Neilson talks about one of the things they focus on is mental health.
Neilson discuss how they are helping students who are set to move on from elementary to middle schools.
Middle School:
Samson goes over the WEB program. WEB stands for Welcom Everybody.
Samson discuss how they’ll helping students get ready for employment for the first time.
High School:
Samson address how they’re helping students through the Honor Society.
Samson talks about how they are helping students adjusting from middle to high school.
No action was needed by the School Board following the report.
The week of February 16th is South Dakota School Board Recognition Week.
