Donna Mae (Bradke) Peterson, 78, of Northville, SD, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield, SD.
Her services will be held on Monday, February 9, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with her funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Douglas W. Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow at the Northville Fairview Cemetery.

Donna was born on July 18, 1947, in Britton, SD, to Laila (Youley) and Gustav Bradke. She lived on the farm with her parents near Guelph, ND, until 1952, when they moved to a farm northeast of Frederick, SD. Donna attended a rural country school through 7th grade, then attended school in Frederick, where she graduated in 1965. After graduation, she worked at the Ellendale Nursing Home in Ellendale, ND, before attending the Aberdeen School of Commerce in Aberdeen, SD. She graduated in 1966 and was employed by State Farm Insurance Company.
In June of 1968, Donna married Lyle G. Peterson at Savo Evangelical Lutheran Church in the rural Frederick area, and to this union, two children were born. Donna and Lyle farmed in partnership near Northville.
Donna was a member of both the Northwestern United Methodist Church in Mellette, SD, and the North Spink Unit of the American Cancer Society. She served as secretary-treasurer of the Northville Fairview Cemetery Association, was a member of the Northwestern United Methodist Women, and served on the Northwestern United Methodist Church board.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her children: James (Melissa) Peterson and daughter Diane (David) Watson, both of Northville; and four grandchildren: Austin Peterson, Darien Watson, Danielle Watson, and Kyle Peterson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Gloria Peterson; and nephews: David (Sherilyn) Peterson and Dan (Sara) Peterson and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lyle, and brother-in-law Donald Peterson.
