Update on Nikki Gronli’s campaign for Congress

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Back in the summer of 2025, Nikki Gronli announced her candidacy for the U.S. House representing South Dakota as a Democrat.  On Thursday, she appeared on the KSDN Nightly Report to update on her candidacy.

Gronli reminded the listeners about her platform.  Gronli was the USDA Rural Development Director for South Dakota under President Biden’s administration.  She talks about one of her key issues is dealing with agriculture.

Gronli talked about the One Big Beautiful bill and impact it’s had in NE South Dakota.

Another issue she’s looking to address is health care.  She talks about the ACA subsidies passed by the U.S. House that awaiting debate in the U.S. Senate.

Gronli hearing concern about health care all across the state especially in the rural communities.

Gronli discuss how to try to attract more voters to register being Democrats in South Dakota.

Gronli’s opponent in the Democrat primary is Billy Mawhiney(Ma-win-wy) of Sioux Falls.  We asked her why to vote for her over Mawhiney.

Gronli will be participating at a Democrat Town Hall coming up on Saturday in Britton dealing with agriculture.

the town hall will take place at the Britton Area Event Center starting at 2pm.
