MARSHALL, MN (NSUWolves.com)— Southwest Minnesota State got the better of Northern State as the Wolves fell 225-54 in NSU’s last dual of the season. Jacie Flockhart recorded Northern State’s sole first-place finish in the dual with a score of 226.90 in the one-meter dive.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Flockhart’s 226.90 score was 62 points more than SMSU’s Emma Knoll, who took second in the event
- Freshman Ella Wanschura took silver in the 50-yard breaststroke competition, finishing in 32.32 seconds, while Emma Beavers (fourth) and Marie Loest (fifth) swam times of 34.13 seconds and 34.93 seconds, respectively
- Similar to Wanschura, Mazie Finch recorded a second-place finish with a 29.77-second swim in the 50-yard backstroke, while teammate Sydney Rogers nabbed fifth in the event with a time of 31.34 seconds
- Wanschura (29.68 seconds) tallied another second-place swim, this time in the 50-yard butterfly, while Lorelai Grund followed behind at 30.77 seconds
- Northern State’s 400-yard medley relay teams finished back-to-back in third and fourth in the event
- In third were Emma Moore, Rogers, Wanschura and Finch at 4:21.68, while Ilyanna Haigler, Sidney Masgras, Grund and Beavers followed behind in fourth at 4:30.82
- In the 200-yard butterfly, Masgras tallied a 2:31.53 finish for third, while Laila Gordillo (2:52.26) and Kenna Remily (2:56.85) brought up the rear
- Rogers (26.16 seconds) and Maya Hentges (26.58 seconds) recorded five total points in the 50-yard freestyle, taking third and fourth, respectively
- Loest was the sole Wolf to compete in the 200-yard backstroke, taking third in the event at 2:26.19
- Wanschura tallied another top-three finish, this time in the 100-yard individual medley, taking third at 1:06.07, while Moore rounded out the scorers at 1:09.57 for sixth
- In the final relay event of the night, Grund, Rogers, Moore and Finch recorded a 3:56.48 finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, while Loest, Hentges, Haigler and Masgras took fifth at 4:02.21
- In the 100-yard freestyle, Gordillo (fourth) and Hentges (sixth) finished in 59.04 seconds and 59.57 seconds, respectively
- Moore (2:08.37) tallied a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, with Grund (2:19.71) behind in sixth
- In the 500-yard freestyle, Remily finished fifth at 6:32.07 to round out NSU’s scoring swims
