ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission held their meeting on Tuesday. Commissioner Duane Sutton went over the Open Meeting guidelines set by the South Dakota Legislature.
The commission also addressed establishing liability insurance for 2026. Brown County Audtor Lynn Heupel went over the options.
Commissioner Sutton questioned how the rates were determined.
Commissioner Mike Wiese looked to clarify that.
The commission decided to keep the million dollar coverage for 2026.
The Commission also determined to represent them for the Consolidated Equalization Board.
Toward the end of the meeting, Commissioner Sutton provided an update on the ordinance addressing guidelines for wind energy projects.
As Commissioner Sutton mentioned, they hope to have issue settled by the end of the month.
