PIERRE, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) has announced on Thursday the approval of over $48 million in loans and grants for statewide projects.
Together with the Board of Water and Natural Resources, a total of $36,958,000 in state loans, including $425,000 in principal forgiveness, was authorized for drinking water and wastewater improvements.
Besides those one item of note for our region is $233,45o from the American Rescue Plan Act for a BDM Project. BDM standing for Brown, Day, & Marshall. The money will be used for a new water treatment plant, installing a new water reservoir, to install a pipe to expand the water system, and for replacing water meters.
