Galen “Chip” Swanson, 80, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away peacefully at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Whillock officiating. Military Honors will take place after the service.
A time for fellowship and luncheon will follow at the church hall
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. Visitation continues one hour before the service at the church.
