ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The 2026 South Dakota Legislative Session will begin on Tuesday, January 13th.
District 3 Representative Brandei Schaefbauer preview what she’ll be working on this session.
Schaefbauer talks about two of the bill she primed last year that she will reintroduce this year. One dealing with a lawsuit dealing with COVID-19.
The other bill she’s working on is establishing gender at birth for legal documents.
Schaefbauer is looking to also address issues dealing with selling personal information to the public.
Schaefbauer address an issue dealing with guides for hunting and fishing.
Schaefbauer also addressed the issue of property tax relief. There could potentially be around 20 separate bills addressing this.
Schaefbauer also discussed relationship between Governor Rhoden and the South Dakota Legislature.
Governor Rhoden will deliver his State of the State Address on Tuesday, January 13th.
