ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Safe Harbor of Aberdeen is a woman’s shelter that tackles those who suffer either domestic or sexual abuse put upon them. They serve residents in seven counties in South Dakota.(Brown, Day, Marshall, Campbell, Potter, McPherson, and Edmunds)
Executive Director Gina Karst describe the mission.
With that in mind, the location are always looking for donations to help out with their cause.
Karst talks about how long sometime victims stay within the shelter.
One of their major fundraising event is Mardi Gras that’s coming up on January 31st the the Dakota Events Center. Karst talks about the ways to donate toward that event.
