ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- Due to the Christmas Day Holiday observance On Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th, 2025, City garbage and recycling pick-up will change. Residents who normally have their garbage picked up on Thursday are asked to have their garbage out for pick-up by 7:00 AM, Wednesday, December 24th. Both Wednesday and Thursday’s garbage will be picked up on Wednesday.
Residents who normally have their garbage picked up on Friday are asked to have their garbage out for pick-up by 7:00 AM Monday, December 29th. Both Friday and Monday’s garbage will be picked up on Monday.
Dependable Sanitation will NOT be picking up recyclables on Thursday, December 25th. Residents who normally have their recyclables picked up on Thursday are asked to have them out for pick up on Friday. Both Thursday and Friday’s recyclables will be picked up on Friday.
If residents need to dispose of their recyclables, they can be taken to the free drop off site located at Dependable Sanitation, 1520 390th Ave., Aberdeen, SD. The drop-off site is open Monday thru Friday, but closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. There are boxes inside the building for each item and large carts or drive-in areas for cardboard boxes.
