Congressman Johnson comment on health care

WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- On Wednesday, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson voted to pass the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act, which makes targeted reforms to health care costs. Johnson said the act was necessary as the previous health bill made healthcare unaffordable for American families, stating that it will help out when Americans go to the pharmacy to purchase their prescriptions.

He says the bill will also lower premium costs.

A third part of the bill will allow small business owners and independent workers to form association health plans.

Johnson says this new plan will only fix the broken parts of the Affordable Care Act, while retaining those things that worked well.

Johnson says that while the new plan isn’t the cure for all of the ills in the Affordable Care Act, it’s a shift in the right direction.

Johnson says that the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act will fix a broken system and provide more options for people who are struggling to make ends meet.
