ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Back in June, the South Dakota Board of Regents appointed former Black Hills State President Laurie Nichols the interim President of Northern State University following the departure of President Neal Schnoor. Schnoor took a similar position at Nebraska-Kearney.
Nichols reflect on her six months as President. She talked about how much she enjoyed her time at NSU.
Nichols discuss some of the things she was able to accomplished in the six months starting with working on enrollment at the school.
Nichols also talks about the strategic plan that NSU is working on for 2026.
The Board of Regents announced in November that Dr. Alan LaFave will be the next president of NSU. Nichols was asked how much of a role she played in that decision.
Nichols talks about what’s next for her.
Nichols will remain president through the end of the year. Dr. LaFave will take over officially on January 5th.
