ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The National Weather Service has posted a High Wind Warning for the entire eastern half of South Dakota on Thursday.
Those listening in the following counties in our area are the scheduled times for the warning:
McPherson, Edmunds, and Faulk Counties will begin at midnight.(NW Winds 40-50mph with wind gusts at 70mph.
Brown and Spink Counties will begin at 3AM.(NW Winds 35-45mph with wind gusts at 60-65mph)
Those warnings are scheduled to end at 3PM.
Marshall, Roberts, & Day Counties will begin at 4AM and will end at 6PM.(NW Winds 30-40mph with winds gusts at 60mph)
High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Combine that with a possibility of snow(50%) could potentially lead to blizzard like conditions.
