Aberdeen City Council approve first reading on ordinance addressing city officials’ wages

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Monday, the Aberdeen City Council addressed an ordinance dealing with salaries and wages for city officials for the year of 2026.

Aberdeen City Manager Dave McNeil went over the process.

McNeil talks about the salary increases for the city departments.

The 2026 budget estimated over $42 million for city employees.

The city council approved the first reading.  Second reading is scheduled for Monday, December 15th.
