PIERRE, S.D.(Connoisseur Media)- The state legislature’s medical marijuana oversight committee heard testimony Wednesday (Oct. 22) from expert speakers who warned about the dangers of marijuana.
That prompted Emmett Reistroffer of Genesis Farms in Sioux Falls to speak out during the public comment period of the meeting.
Reistroffer was cut off by the committee chair — State Representative Josephine Garcia of Watertown.
Reistroffer said South Dakota’s medical marijuana industry is being painted with too broad a brush.
The committee held no votes and made no official recommendations at this week’s session. They will meet again November 4.
