Brown County Commission address ordinances dealing with data centers & wind farms

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission on Tuesday did first reading on ordinances to amending guidelines for data centers and wind energy projects.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton went over the ordinance dealing with data centers.

Commissioner Kyler Dinger asked County Planning & Zoning Chair Scott Bader to clarify the distance for noise.

Commissioner Mike Gage talks about how much noise is 75 decimals.

Question asked was compare the noise at the data center in Ellendale.  CEO of the Aberdeen Development Corporation, Tim Hanigan talked about that.

Brown County approved amendments to the ordinances addressing data centers as well to wind energy projects.  No discussion on the ordinance addressing wind energy projects.
