BROOKINGS, S.D.(Connosieur Media)- An Aberdeen man is injured in a rollover accident near Sinai.
The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office said it happened Sunday around 12:40 a.m. when 32-year old Jeremy Hagen was driving north on 458th Avenue near 215th Street. The sheriff’s office said Hagen lost control of his pickup, entered a ditch and rolled.
A sheriff’s deputy answering another dispatch call happened upon the accident and called for an ambulance.
The sheriff’s office said Hagen was uncooperative with medical staff and was taken by deputies to the Brookings Hospital to be examined. He was treated for cuts and abrasions, released to deputies, and subsequently arrested for 2nd offense Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, and Driving with a Suspended License. The sheriff’s department said Hagen’s pickup was listed as a total loss.
The Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, Sinai Fire Department, Volga Fire Department and Brookings Ambulance all responded. The incident is still under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
