WATERTOWN, S.D.(Northeast Radio)- The Watertown City Council is looking ahead to the 2026 budget. At Monday’s work session, leaders reviewed sales tax growth, a proposed $10.6 million street facility, and the city’s long list of priority projects. Council members agreed that some items—such as the east side fire station and flood control—must remain on the table, while others may be cut. They also discussed new revenue options, from stormwater fees to a fire and medical district. The next budget session is set for October 15th.
