ABERDEEN, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – The season schedules have been released for Northern State Men’s & Women’s basketball this week.
On the women’s side, the Wolves will open things up in Kearney, NE on November 14th & 15th against Pittsburg State & Nebraska Kearney, respectively. The following weekend (Friday & Saturday) the Wolves will jump on the bus to Sioux Falls to take on Black Hills State on Friday & then SD Mines on Saturday. If those games sound familiar, they should; the Wolves played all four of those teams in ’24 (going 2-2, with wins against BHSU & SD Mines in Rapid City). NSU will have their NSIC opener (a doubleheader) on Tuesday, November 25th against their new NSIC foe, the Jimmies of Jamestown at Wachs Arena.
As for the NSU men, they’ll begin their ’25-’26 odyssey with a pair of exhibition affairs. The Wolves will travel to Murray, KY to take on the Racers of Murray State on October 26th & then they’ll see a familiar face in Laramie, WY against Sundance Wicks’ crew, the University of Wyoming Cowboys, on Monday, November 3rd.
The Wolves will be down in Oklahoma City on November 14th & 15th against Oklahoma Baptist & Southern Nazarene, respectively & following that trip, they’ll hit the road to the Wisconsin Dells against Northern Michigan & Northwest Missouri State on November 21st & 22nd. NSU will have two more non-conference games on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 29th) in Chadron, NE against the Eagles of Chadron State + on New Year’s Day against Black Hills State, at the Barnett Center at 1p.
Come conference play, the Wolves will have six Thursday-Saturday doubleheaders & they’ll have four Friday-Saturday doubleheaders.
The Wolves will once again be on Fox Sports Aberdeen 1420 & 98.5 with the ‘voice of the Wolves,’ David Tukesbrey on play-by-play come the fall/winter.
