Governor Larry Rhoden in Aberdeen Monday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Governor Larry Rhoden was in Aberdeen Monday to attend night one of the Dacotah Stampede Rodeo at the Brown County Fair.  Prior to that Governor Rhoden did an interview with HubCityRadio to address a variety of topics.

Rhoden talked about why he picked Representative Nick Fosness for District 1.

The Comprehensive Property Tax Task Force is coming to Aberdeen this week.  We ask Governor Rhoden to try to find the balance of addressing property taxes for all counties in South Dakota.

Rhoden discuss bill he’s now introduced to the Task Force.

Rhoden also addressed the possible amendment that would replace property taxes with the transaction tax.

Rhoden was asked if passed whether this could lead to a South Dakota State Income Tax.

South Dakota will have a special legislative session coming up on September 23rd.  Rhoden expressed optimism about this upcoming meeting.

Rhoden also was asked about his political future.

Governor Rhoden was in Aberdeen to attend the rodeo.  Rodeo is the official sport of South Dakota in 2003 in a bill introduced by then Representative Larry Rhoden.
