Arvid loved Jesus with all his heart, and he genuinely loved each person he met. He shared this with enthusiastic joy in every conversation. He loved the land, his family, his community, and his role as a deacon.  With his wife, Jennie, at his side, he served as a prison minister and truly enjoyed taking communion to the homebound and offering services at the Faulkton Area Medical Center.  He made dear friends during Cursillo and Koinonia retreats throughout South Dakota. He treasured watching the olive branches of his family grow and passionately shared his love of Christ with each child and their spouse, grandchild, and great grandchild. His role as a leader in the family extended to many nieces and nephews and cousins that depended on him as a pillar of strength. He was deeply loved and respected.

Arvid’s family would like to thank the Faulkton Area Medical Center for their compassionate care of Arvid. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Faulkton Area Medical Center Foundation, PO Box 100, Faulkton, SD 57438.
