WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)- South Dakota Public Broadcasting is facing a somewhat uncertain future due to federal funding cuts.

In South Dakota’s case, it’s a funding cut to the tune of $2.2 million that could mean layoffs for up to 20 staff members, and potentially, programming cuts.

And it’s putting pressure on lawmakers at the state level to address the funding gaps.

State Senator Glen Vilhauer of Watertown.
