ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, the Brown County Commission received request for fees for the Brown County Landfill for 2026.
Brown County Landfill Manager Mike Scott talks about landfill tipping fees and requesting an increase.
Scott explains the reason for the fee increase.
Scott also talked about an assessment fee increase.
Brown County Commission approved all fee increases.
Assessment Fees for 2026:
Households within Incorporated Cities or Civil Townships require curb service will be $50
Households within Incorporated Cities or Civil Townships don’t require curb service will be $100
Condos within Incorporated Cities or Civil Townships require curb service will be $50
Condos within Incorporated Cities or Civil Townships don’t require curb service will be $100
Apartment within Incorporated Cities or Civil Townhips require curb service will be $25(No change to 2025)
Seasonal Lake Cabins will be $65.
Mobile Home parks, incorporated municipalities that provide or require lot side waste pickup will be $50
Mobile Home parks, incorporated municipalities that don’t provide or require lot side waste pickup will be $100
Fees go into effect starting January 1st.
