WATERTOWN, S.D.(KXLG)- The Watertown School District is currently facing uncertainty regarding the allocation of federal “Title funds,” with Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen informing the School Board that some of these crucial funds are being held up in Washington, D.C.

During a recent board meeting, Dr. Danielsen provided further information to the board.

A lack of funding could have a critical impact on the budget. Board member Roshal Rossman inquired about the timing.

Dr. Danielsen said they don’t “have a lot of information as to why they’re being held up.” Next month, school starts, as the official date has been announced for August 21st.
