SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(DakotaNewsNow)- Wyoming Billionaire Reid Rasner announced Monday that while his bid for acquiring TikTok is fully funded, there is no credible deal on the table, calling China’s latest proposal a “shell game”.
Rasner says China is withholding TikTok’s core algorithm and data controls, which he calls non-negotiable.
“By withholding the algorithm, China is pretending to comply while keeping control of the engine that drives TikTok – and likely obfuscates what they have been doing to manipulate and spy on Americans. That’s not transparency—it’s deception,” said Rasner.
Rasner stated that his bid is grounded in protecting American users by removing Chinese influence and gaining full control of the algorithm.
Rasner stated that his proposal aligns with the legal framework and national security priorities.
